About Us

Logging isn’t just a family tradition for Kelly Burke—it is in his genes, starting all the way back when his grandfather used to make a living cutting railroad ties with just an axe and his bare hands. By the age of 15, Kelly was already working alongside his father developing a deep passion for logging and a love for the outdoors.

with just an axe and his bare hands.  By the age of 15, Kelly was already working alongside his father developing a deep passion for logging and a love for the outdoors.

As a third-generation logger, Kelly has learned just how important it is to respect nature and to contribute to the lasting sustainability of Missouri’s 14-million acres of forest. Burke Timber’s roots are right here in the Show Me State, and our local, family-owned-and-operated business understands that our best interests lie in your woodland and its ability to produce healthy, profitable timber for years to come.

Master Logger Certification

Having completed the state’s most comprehensive and prestigious certification program, Kelly Burke is one of only 21 Certified Master Loggers in the state of Missouri. To achieve this qualification, one must complete a five-day professional timber harvester education program, present a list of five past and current harvest sites, and provide three professional references. The Master Logger Certifying Board must then review everything to ensure that the applicant’s compliance with business and natural resource law.

Kelly’s certification is renewed each year, and with this achievement, you can be confident that he will treat your land with the utmost respect. Contact us today to learn more about the qualifications of Kelly and his team of loggers.
